The Libertyville Sports Complex was transformed into Halloween Fest Tuesday night.
There were 25 costumed characters on hand to greet parents and kids younger than 10 as they enjoyed games, train rides, inflatable slides, a pumpkin patch and a spider climbing mountain.
This is the fifth year for Halloween Fest, which started in 2010 outside at Adler Park.
The event has since been moved inside to allow kids to show off their costumes without their coats covering them.
"This is one of the most anticipated events for families in the Libertyville area all year long," said Connie Kowal, director of the sports complex. "It's good, old-fashioned Halloween fun."
