MCC seeks presenters, vendors for Child's World Conference

McHenry County College is looking for workshop presenters and vendors for the 2014 Child's World Conference from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at the college, 8900 Route 14 in Crystal Lake.

This 26th annual symposium attracts about 300 early childhood educators, directors and child care providers from northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin. The keynote address will be delivered by Jean Feldman, Ph.D., internationally-renowned presenter, author and consultant.

Workshops are 1ΒΌ hours in length and are geared to those who work with young children, infants through age 8. Past participants have indicated specific interest in workshops on classroom management, special needs, and hands-on activities in science, math, art, language, and large motor areas.

Businesses and agencies will exhibit in the vendor area, an important part of the conference where companies share valuable information on products and services for the early childhood educator. Past exhibitors included school supply distributors, booksellers, and agencies providing services for the early childhood community. Vendors are welcome to sell merchandise at tables.

Cost for exhibitors is $50 for the first table and $35 for each additional table. To register as a presenter or exhibitor, visit www.mchenry.edu/childhood.

Registrations are due by Nov. 1. For more information, call Wendy Yemm at (815) 455-8764 or email conferencecenter@mchenry.edu.
