St. Charles Clean as a Whisker grand opening offers free pet grooming

Clean as a Whisker Pet Grooming is set to open Monday, Nov. 3, at 322 W. Main St. located next door to Lincoln Park Square and the Bend Italian Deli.

Jill Krauss and Dana McLeod, owners of the business, said their shop has already gotten good foot traffic and are excited to be the first pet grooming salon in downtown St. Charles. They will be offering all-inclusive grooming for dogs of all sizes and specialize in easy maintenance and breed specific show cuts. They also offer grooming for cats which include services such as lion cuts and de-shedding.

As a grand opening special, they are offering free grooming for their new clientele. Ongoing specials will be $5 walk-in nail trims with no appointment necessary.

Clean as a Whisker Pet Grooming will be open Monday to Saturday with flexible hours and easy off street parking behind the shop to meet the needs of the pet owners.

Krauss explains, "Our mission statement is to be the most convenient pet grooming salon in St. Charles. Our goal is to groom each pet to their owner's expectations and to further exceed in customer service."

McLeod adds, "Pets are not just animals, they are men and women's best friends. We are sensitive to the special needs of all pets. One example is small dogs who tend to scare easily and who are more delicate, sensitive, and nervous. We are here to serve the St. Charles community for all their pets' care in quality grooming needs."
