The Falconaires Orchestra presents When Music was Music

District 214 Community Education presents The Falconaires Orchestra's opening concert for its 2014-15 season featuring A Sunday Afternoon with Cole Porter and Jerome Kern's When Music was Music.

Under the direction of Mr. Steve Cooper, the concert is Sunday, November 2, at 3 p.m., at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Road, Arlington Heights. It will also feature special guest vocalists, Ms. Angie Lyons and Mr. Luis Galvez.

Tickets are $20 or $15 advance; Gold Card Club members will pay $15 and $14 for advance purchase. Children K-12 will be admitted free with a paying adult. Please call the Community Education Box Office at 847-718-7702, to purchase your tickets.

The November 2 concert will feature music from The Great American Song Book which includes the music of Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, Irving Berlin, Harold Arlen, Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Charlie Spivak, Eddie Howard, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Duke Ellington, Earl Garner, Count Basie, Stan Kenton, Victor Young's song, "When I Fall In Love."

The Falconaires Orchestra has performed at Skokie Music Theater, Chevy Chase Country Club, Arlington Park Racetrack and Forest View Educational Center where it featured The Tenors 3 last October.
