Armed robber hits Arlington Hts. gas station
Arlington Heights police are looking for a man who robbed a gas station at gunpoint Wednesday night. According to a police report, a black man about 35 years old, wearing a multicolored cloth on his face, black backpack and black clothing, entered the Mobil station at 815 W. Rand Road in Arlington Heights around 7:35 p.m., showed the clerk a handgun and demanded money, police say. Anyone having information about this crime in Arlington Heights should submit an anonymous text tip by texting the keyword 847AHPD and your message to 847411 (tip411). Or, call Arlington Heights Crime Stoppers at (847) 590-STOP. Callers are guaranteed anonymity and may qualify for a cash reward of up to $1,000.
