Stuffed animal charity ride:

The Lake Shore Hogs chapter will hold its annual stuffed animal ride to bring Christmas gifts to children in care of the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services on Sunday, Nov. 2. "This ride is the highlight of our year," said Joey Smith of the Lake Shore Hogs. "I enjoy riding my Harley with a teddy bear. Anything the chapter can do to brighten a child's day, we will do it." The event takes place at the Harley-Davidson store, 17000 Rockland Road in Libertyville and begins at 9 a.m. when the stuffed animals are loaded onto a truck. The Hog ride begins at approximately 10:30 a.m. when the motorcycle riders proceed to Illinois DCFS offices at 500 N. Green Bay Road, Waukegan.
