Two passengers into O'Hare quarantined with Ebola-like symptoms

Two patients are being monitored in isolation at the University of Chicago Medical Center and Rush University Medical Center after reporting Ebola-like symptoms, officials said. A child on a flight originating from Liberia became ill en route to O'Hare International Airport, they said. Upon landing, the child was immediately screened by federal authorities and found to have no fever and no symptoms other than reportedly vomiting once during the flight. Lawsuit: Mom, daughter assaulted by clowns with sex toys at haunted house

A woman and her 17-year-old daughter have sued the Massacre Haunted House in Montgomery, arguing they were assaulted and verbally harassed by two workers dressed as clowns holding sex toys. The lawsuit, filed by Montgomery resident Regina Janito, seeks unspecified damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress, assault and negligence on behalf of the haunted house operators. Naperville police looking for person of interest in inappropriate contact case

Naperville police are investigating incidents involving inappropriate contact between a 15-year-old girl and a man, authorities said. The investigation concerns several incidents, and the girl and man last had contact with each other Sept. 26. These incidents occurred around 95th Street and Route 59 in Naperville, according to a news release. Full story.

Elk Grove Village police make arrest in bank robbery

Elk Grove Village police have made an arrest in connection with a Tuesday bank robbery. Parkway Bank, 951 Meacham Road in Elk Grove Village, was robbed about noon by a man wearing sunglasses, a light blue baseball cap and a black jacket, according to an email from the FBI. Full story.

Mundelein District 75, its teachers meeting over contract today

Teachers and school officials in Mundelein Elementary District 75 are hopeful a settlement can be reached as the two sides prepare for their 15th negotiating session today. Lombard synagogue vandalized

A Lombard synagogue was vandalized Tuesday, with the offender damaging the lawn, "defacing" the door with graffiti and breaking seven windows, officials said. Lombard police responded to the Congregation Etz Chaim of DuPage County, 1710 S. Highland Ave., around 4:30 p.m. for a report of criminal damage to property in progress. Full story.
