Man arrested over body at Fort Wayne cemetery

Associated Press

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - A man detained by police officers after a woman's body was found at a Fort Wayne cemetery has been arrested in her death.

Police say 20-year-old Quinn Albers of Fort Wayne faces a preliminary charge of murder for the death of the woman whose body was found Monday in an undeveloped area of Catholic Cemetery east of the city's downtown.

Police say workers spotted the woman's body in an area that's not now used for burials and saw a man walking away from the cemetery.

Authorities say the coroner's office was still working to confirm the woman's identity and cause of death.

Albers was jailed without bond. It wasn't immediately clear whether he has an attorney.
