Michael Moore appearing at Chicago film festival

Activist filmmaker Michael Moore plans to present a restored version of his early documentary "Roger & Me" at the Chicago International Film Festival.

Moore is scheduled to appear Wednesday evening at the screening of the 1989 film that launched his directing career. His 2002 film "Bowling for Columbine" won an Oscar for Best Documentary. Other Moore films include "Fahrenheit 9/11," "Sicko" and "Capitalism: A Love Story."

"Roger & Me" focused on what happened with General Motors plant closings and the effect on his hometown of Flint, Michigan.

Later in the week, Moore is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at a symposium on intellectual property at the John Marshall Law School in Chicago.
