Dist. 121 board: Member shared information from closed session

A majority of Warren Township High School board members recently agreed that a colleague violated her oath of office by publicly divulging information from a closed-door session.

By a 4-1 vote last week, with two abstentions, the Gurnee-based Warren District 121 approved a resolution finding that board member Liz Biondi violated her oath and an internal policy. Board members Barbara Conway, Michael Munda, David Grum and John Anderson voted in favor, with Biondi against. Board members Catherine Campbell and James Walz abstained.

Biondi denied the resolution's claim she divulged the information while speaking at a summer Warren-Newport Public Library District meeting in Gurnee. The information regarded an applicant for a now-filled board appointment.
