Schaumburg Hosting Shred Event on November 1

The Village of Schaumburg is hosting a document shredding event for residents on Saturday, November 1.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon in the parking lot of the Public Safety Building, 1000 W. Schaumburg Road. The event is open to Schaumburg residents only; those participating will be asked to show identification verifying residence in the village.

Residents may bring up to two banker boxes of documents per household that can include staples, paper clips and folders to be shredded. DocuShred will have a shredder onsite and residents can witness their documents entering the shredder.

This event will only offer document shredding. No other items will be received for recycling. For more information, dial 311 within the Village of Schaumburg or contact the Engineering & Public Works Department at (847) 882-3586.
