Family fun, wellness night:

Free health screenings and family fun fitness activities are planned Friday, Nov. 7, for adults and children during the Family Fun and Wellness Night. It runs from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Recreation Center of Highland Park, 1207 Park Avenue West. Organized by the Lake County Health Department's North Shore Health Center and funded by the Friends for Health and the Healthcare Foundation of Highland Park, the event is open to people of all ages. Health screenings will include blood glucose, blood pressure and body mass index testing. An on-site medical professional will review the test results and provide recommendations. Those who complete all of the screenings will be eligible to enter raffles. A bilingual navigator with Enroll Lake County! will be available to answer questions and enroll Medicaid eligible participants. Participants can also receive health information such as flu prevention tips. To register, or for information, call (847) 984-5323.
