Carpentersville man charged in Palatine with public indecency
A Carpentersville man has been charged with public indecency in Palatine, police said Friday.
Palatine police arrested and charged Pedro Rodriguez, 36, of the 1800 block of Center Drive, with two misdemeanor counts of public indecency, according to a news release.
A female employee at a gas station in the 800 block of West Palatine Road told police that twice within the past month the same man, who she did not know, exposed himself to her, the release said.
While in the process of dialing 9-1-1 immediately after the second occurrence at 9:42 a.m. Thursday, the clerk noticed an officer on patrol driving through the gas station parking lot and flagged the officer down. she pointed out the suspect who had just gotten into a vehicle parked by the gas pumps, and the officer stopped Rodriguez before he could drive off, the release said.
Rodriguez was released on bond and is to appear November 21 at the Rolling Meadows Courthouse.
