Being rich OK if you're a Democrat?

It seems like 100 times a day every TV station broadcasts Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn's campaign ad disparaging Republican candidate Bruce Rauner because Rauner is rich, as if being rich is bad. My guess is 98 percent of Americans wish they were rich. (The other 2 percent are already rich.)

The voters of New York had no qualms about electing billionaire Democrat Michael Bloomberg as mayor of New York City. I've lost count of the number of the fabulously rich Kennedy family members who have been elected to Congress, the Senate and the presidency despite their wealth. Millionaire Democrat President Barack Obama has no problem at $30,000-a-plate fundraising dinners shaking down his multimillionaire Democrat friends for campaign contributions.

I think I understand it now - being a wealthy Democrat is good; being a wealthy Republican is evil.
