Robert Randolph and the Family Band Coming to Schaumburg Prairie Center

Robert Randolph and the Family Band bring their unique brand of funk and soul to the Schaumburg Prairie Center for the Arts on Saturday, November 1 at 8:00 p.m.

Randolph is considered by the New York Times to be "one of the most original and talented pedal steel guitarists of his generation." He has earned a spot on spot on Rolling Stone's "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time" list, and attracted the attention of such giants as Eric Clapton and Carlos Santana, who have collaborated with Randolph on stage and in the studio.

Known for their lively stage performances, the unique chemistry of the Family Band - comprised of the guitarist's actual family members Marcus Randolph, Danyel Morgan, and Lenesha Randolph, together with guitarist Brett Haas - not only tightens their edgy, soulful sound, but also radiates a joyful togetherness that bridges the musicians with their audience.

Tickets for Robert Randolph and the Family Band, $42 ($40 seniors and students), can be ordered online at www.prairiecenter.org or by calling 847-895-3600. The Prairie Center is located at 201 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL. Like us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/schaumburgprairiecenter) and Twitter (@prairiecenter).
