Chartier standing tall at libero for Harper

Standing 5 feet, 5 inches tall, Harper College libero Meghan Chartier might be easy to overlook in a game where height is so important.

But the the first-year standout is still getting plenty of attention in NJCAA Division III women's volleyball. She's been named national player of the week, joining outside hitter Lauren Sokolowski (Rolling Meadows) in having earned that distinction.

Last week alone, Chartier accumulated 126 digs in 19 sets for the No. 4 -anked Hawks.

Last Saturday at the Lincoln Land Invitational, Chartier earned a spot on the all-tournament team. In a win over NJCAA Division I member John A. Logan College, Chartier had a career-best 38 digs and was also a tone-setter from the service line, going 68-for-71 with 5 aces.
