Jennings has right ideas for county board

Mike Jennings is the best candidate for Lake County Board District 10 on November's ballot.

Mike has lived in Ela Township for more than 25 years. He raised his family here. Jennings is running for Lake County Board because he is concerned about Lake County's future.

Mike has served the public for most of his life. Mike is a retired EMS paramedic. His experience will bring a needed real-world perspective to the board regarding health care and first responders.

Mike is a veteran and cares deeply about vets in Lake County. Mike operates a small business and knows how hard it is to run a business in our expensive county.

Mike knows investments in any business require prioritizing. Businesses cannot constantly pass on costs for every new building or piece of equipment like the current Lake County Board does.

Consider the new over-budget courthouse project. If this high-rise gets completed, I am sure it will be an impressive sight. However, this courthouse is overkill. If the board spent its own money, the new courthouse would be less extravagant than the one planned.

Businesses who raise their rates risk losing business to competitors with lower overhead. Apparently the Lake County Board is not worried about competing with other counties.

Jennings wants to represent the people of the 10th District. Jennings wants their input. Jennings will not disappear into the county building to cook up more backroom deals that make Lake County too expensive for average families.

Jennings is the outsider in this race, not some well-connected "business as usual" candidate. People have told me whoever is in office now should be voted out. The county establishment are responsible for Lake County's high taxes. We need change in Waukegan. Vote for Mike Jennings for the Lake County Board District 10.
