Randhurst holds Hoots and H'Owls fest

The Third Annual 'Hoots and H'Owls' Fall Festival will be held 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, October 18, at Randhurst Village, Rand and Elmhurst Roads, Mount Prospect.

The free family festival includes face painting, balloon twisting, stilt walkers and the Candy Sculptor, one of only 5 in the world who still practice this Asian art. Tony Melendez will teach kids and parents how to create over-the-top keepsake hats.

There's a pumpkin decorating station and a chance to pose for a photo with the owls from the Stillman Nature Center in South Barrington. The Sand Sculpture Company in Barrington will have sand sculptures on display. www.RandhurstVillage.com.
