Explore the spooky trails of Spring Valley for Halloween

Enjoy an outdoor haunted experience at the Schaumburg Park District.

A Haunting in the Valley will transform the twisting trails of Spring Valley, 1111 E. Schaumburg Road, into a Halloween experience like no other from 6:15 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 25.

The annual Halloween program will feature mysterious and magical walks through the Log Cabin Woods. Visitors will also enjoy games, a live owl display, refreshments and a bonfire at the Nature Center.

"This year, A Haunting in the Valley is going to be much different," said Mary Rice, education coordinator. "Visitors will interact with a number of different characters along the guided trails. Some will be a little scarier and some will be entertaining. It's going to be a lot of fun."

Covered wagons will transport groups to the trail entrance every 15 minutes. Tickets are available at Spring Valley Nature Center for one of four slots each evening. Tickets purchased prior to 5 p.m., Oct. 24 are $6 per person. Tickets purchased after 5 p.m., Oct. 24 are $8 per person, if available. Space is limited. Pre-sale tickets are strongly encouraged.
