Kick-A-Thon 2014 marks 21st anniversary of drill team fundraiser

The St. Charles East and North drill teams are very proud to have donated more than $770,000 over the last 20 years to the American Cancer Society and LivingWell Cancer Resource Center in Geneva. They are looking forward to donating once again this year to these great organizations. They have also added a new beneficiary this year, Fox Valley Food for Health.

Be a "Community Super Fan" and join them for a fun-filled night at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17, at the St. Charles North stadium between the sophomore and varsity football games to help in the fight against cancer.

Watch the drill team members and the community representatives form a kick line and do 100 kicks to "kick cancer."

This year will mark the 21st year of Kick-A-Thon, an important fundraiser which has helped so many in the community who have and continue to battle cancer. Drill team members raise money to help put an end to cancer and, by doing so, have been able to see firsthand how important it is to give back and what a difference just one person can make for a great cause.

Together we can make a difference. For more information, or to donate, please go to www.kick-a-thon.org. You can also support Kick-A-Thon by visiting California Pizza Kitchen at Geneva Commons on Wednesday, Oct. 15. Mention "Kick-A-Thon" and they will donate 20 percent of sales to the fundraiser!
