Latest Marquette University poll on state races to be released
MADISON, Wis. - The latest Marquette University Law School poll showing voters' thoughts on the races for governor and attorney general is slated to be released.
The poll is due out Wednesday, less than three weeks before the Nov. 4 election.
Also Wednesday, Democratic gubernatorial candidate Mary Burke was to field questions before the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's editorial board in a live one-hour exchange broadcast on the newspaper's website.
The Marquette poll showed the race between Burke and Republican Gov. Scott Walker to be essentially tied from May through September. Walker had a small 5-point lead in the poll released two weeks ago. The margin of error was 4.1 percentage points.
The poll also shows how Republican Brad Schimel and Democrat Susan Happ are faring in the attorney general's race.
