Fox Valley Antiques Show & Sale explores "Pioneer Spirit"

Explore the "Pioneer Spirit" at the annual Fox Valley Antiques Show & Sale this weekend in St. Charles.

Connect with others who love antiques and history in a quest to create your one-of-a-kind look. There will be 21st-century pioneers present; those 55 experienced antiques dealers traveling from 15 states, exhibiting furnishings from our past, creating exciting and refreshing settings to compliment any style of architecture.

This fall the show's atrium display, always a favorite with customers, contrasts the obscure, functional, and sometimes simple importance of objects from an earlier time, with advanced designs representing a more "modern" era.

A first-time feature of the show will debut on Sunday morning. The first 75 Sunday-paid admissions will receive a free breakfast voucher good 10 a.m. until noon, sponsored by Inglenook Pantry.

Those arriving after the free 75 breakfasts on Sunday morning can partake of Inglenook's lunch offerings. Comfortable seating is available and there is plenty of free parking. Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

Produced by the Chicago Suburban Antiques Dealers Association, the show celebrates our heritage by collaborating with its sponsor, the DuPage County Historical Museum and the 175th anniversary of the founding of DuPage County.

Both nonprofit organizations, admission of $8 benefits local historical and educational endeavors. Discount coupons are available on the CSADA website. For further information, visit www.csada.com. There is an ATM on premises.
