Munger has courage to truly lead
I'm fed up with misleading accusations and outright lies from our Democratic state representative, Carol Sente. Her campaign "Friends for Carol Sente" claimed the "like politicians in Washington" her opponent wants to "cut critical services." Really? Her opponent is running for office in Illinois, not D.C. More importantly, where has her opponent ever said or written that?
Sente claims her opponent wants to slash programs to rape victims, release violent criminals and allow pedophiles in schools. These allegations are untrue and absolutely ludicrous. These charges are the worst of the worst; they are truly laughable. No one in his or her right mind would ever support any of these issues, and that is why it is so deplorable Sente would even suggest them.
Sente also cited the Illinois Fiscal Budget Year as a source. Yet, her opponent hasn't served a day in the legislature nor voted for a budget. These outlandish tactics are sad. The voters of the 59th District should ask themselves if this is the type of representation they want - a state Rep who will say or do anything to hold onto power.
It is time for change and new direction. A vote for Carol Sente is a vote for Mike Madigan, the status quo and continuation of one-party control. Hopefully, District 59 voters will use their common sense and vote for checks and balances in Springfield by electing newcomer, Leslie Munger for state representative. Leslie is the independence we need with the real courage to lead.
