Elected, appointed leaders: no pensions

Elected, appointed leaders: no pensions

This paper has interviewed a number of candidates for elected office recently. A number of them have said they will take a pension for a part time job and some even refused to answer, which I assume means they will.

I do not believe any elected official nor any appointed member of any agency, department, board, commission or other taxpayer supported organization should receive a pension based on the current state pension program. If they feel they should get a pension then it should be a 401K or better yet an IRA.
