Dive into a pumpkin patch this Halloween

Find your perfect pumpkin this year at the Schaumburg Park District.

Swim with pumpkins 6-8 p.m., Oct. 25 at The Water Works, 505 N. Springinsguth Road, during the annual Pumpkin Splash. Participants will enjoy pumpkin picking in the zero depth pool, dancing to a DJ, refreshments and pumpkin decorating.

"Pumpkin Splash is a really unique event and provides children a new way to select their pumpkin for Halloween," said Kathleen Benson, Bock Center manager and general program supervisor. "Instead of going to a typical pumpkin patch and walking around they get to search a pool!"

There will be scheduled pumpkin swims by age group. Parents must accompany children during the entire event. The Water Works lockers will not be available to participants.

Cost is $14 for residents and $21 for non-residents.
