St. Hubert Catholic School Recognized A 2014 National Blue Ribbon School

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL - September 30, 2014 - St. Hubert Catholic School, a pre-K through eighth grade parochial school serving Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, and the surrounding suburban communities, was one of 337 nation-wide schools officially recognized as a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. In February 2014, the school was one of 50 non-public schools nominated by the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) to be a 2014 National Blue Ribbon School.

Founded in 1982, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools where students perform at very high levels or where significant improvements are being made in students' academic achievement. Recognition as a National Blue Ribbon School is a mark of excellence in education recognized by parents to policymakers in thousands of communities.

This recognition is a tremendous achievement for St. Hubert Catholic School. Vito DeFrisco, the principal, and Marcia Larson, the assistant principal, are the school's leadership team and are supported by a dedicated and well-credentialed faculty and staff of 41 individuals. With respect to this recognition, Mr. DeFrisco said, "St. Hubert Catholic School has a long and rich history of providing a solid academic program to the families we serve. We are always looking for ways to improve our programs while encouraging our students to do their best." Mrs. Larson added, "This formal recognition validates the expertise and dedication of our faculty as well as the exceptional students attending St. Hubert Catholic School."

School officials will attend the formal recognition ceremony in Washington, D.C. in November 2014.
