Dold and Schneider to appear at forum Saturday in Grayslake

Congressional hopefuls Brad Schneider and Robert Dold will be among the candidates at a political forum Saturday in Grayslake.

Schneider, a Deerfield Democrat who represents the 10th House District, and Dold, a Republican challenger from Kenilworth, will take the stage separately at the event, which is set for 9 a.m. at the University Center of Lake County, 1200 University Center Drive.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Rauner and the Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor, Paul Vallas, also are scheduled to attend.

The Lake County Municipal League is hosting the forum, which will be preceded by a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m.

The candidates will appear separately onstage and answer prepared questions.

Dold and Schneider will be asked the same three questions, said Deb Waszak, the league's director.

Rauner and Vallas each will be asked seven questions, Waszak said.

Admission is free and open to the public.
