Da Vinci Waldorf Students Vist the Wauconda Food Pantry Weekly

With the middle school students holding the first graders' hands, the children and their teachers carry donations from the school at 150 Bonner Road to the food pantry. Service learning is something that the school really focuses on in the middle school years, with many student volunteer hours being given to area organizations such as the V.A. Hospital, Walk On Farms, and Citizens for Conservation. However, last year at this time a decision was made to give even the youngest grade school students the experience of community service by including them in the Food Pantry trips. This year, the entire grade school is once again serving the Food Pantry together.

In the spirit of the season, coats and winter wear items are also being collected in the school's lobby for donation to the Wauconda Township.

Da Vinci Waldorf School is a non-sectarian school serving children of Lake, McHenry, and northern Cook counties in preschool through 8th grade.
