Chicago Wolves staying in Rosemont for 5 more years

The Rosemont village board Wednesday formally approved a 5-year lease extension with the Chicago Wolves, keeping the minor league hockey team at the village-owned Allstate Arena through 2019.

Mayor Brad Stephens previously announced the new agreement last month during his annual state of the village address.

Under the deal, the village will pay the Wolves $250,000 for the right to place the village's "It's All Here" branding logo on player helmets, for advertisements on dasher boards, and other digital elements inside the stadium.

The contract includes the option for an additional five-year extension.

The Wolves have played at the facility since the franchise was founded 20 years ago.
