Des Plaines Camera Club October Programs

The first October meeting will focus on enhancing your own skills.

The October 13 meeting will be "Bring Your Camera Night." You will be able to practice with various tabletop and lighting setups. Work with the other photographers to discuss pros and cons of various techniques and receive help from the many very experienced and professional photographers in the club.

Save October 27 for a presentation by John Batdorff, a Chicago based photographer. John specializes in black and white. John will walk us through his workflow in converting images to black and white in both Lightroom and NIK and also describe his work in the NIK Color conversion program. He is the author of two books: 'Black and White from Snapshots to Great Shots' and 'Plug in With NIK'.

The DPCC is a group of individuals who share an interest in photography. The club provides encouragement to members to expand their interests in photography in which they not only learn from one another, but also have an outlet for their creative interest. The club is a member of the Chicago Area Camera Clubs Association (CACCA) and enters monthly inter-club contest.

The Des Plaines Camera Club meets on the second and fourth Monday of each month September thru May. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm in the Des Plaines Park District Arndt Field House located at 1990 White Street in Des Plaines.

Whatever level of interest in photography you have, all are cordially invited to attend a meeting. For additional information regarding the Club and meeting schedules, you are encouraged to visit us at www.desplainescameraclub.com or contact club President Stan Kotecki at 847-736-8387 or by email atstankotecki@comcast.net.
