Prince of Peace in Lake Villa takes part in School Choice rally

On Sept. 25, Prince of Peace Catholic School in Lake Villa took part in the Illinois School Choice Rally. Students, parents and teachers and staff gathered to support parents having the ability to choose the education best-suited to their child's needs and desires.

The rally kicked off the new, greatly augmented push for School Choice in Illinois. The Archdiocese of Chicago - of which Prince of Peace is a part - is collaborating with several organizations for the School Choice movement.

"School choice is a win for parents, teachers and the state, but, most importantly, it is a win for the children," said Principal Bonnie Brown.

"Each child learns differently and those differences should be celebrated. The best way to do that is for parents to be able to utilize the learning scenario that best fits their child's needs."
