Art for All presents fine art exhibit in Elgin's Artspace

Art For All of Elgin presents a fine art exhibit, "Fall for Art," Oct. 12 to 25 in the Robin and Mark Seigle Gallery located at Artspace Lofts, 51 S. Spring St., Elgin.

A reception will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17. Light refreshments will be served. While the reception is free, donations will be accepted.

"The talent showcased at our Spring Artspace gallery show and the public response to it was amazing," states Art for All president Karen Castillo. "The Robin and Mark Seigle gallery is a gem in downtown Elgin and it is the perfect venue for our art exhibit."

The exhibit features the artistic talents of the members of Art for All of Elgin who work in a variety of artistic mediums and styles. From 1 to 5 p.m. on the two Sundays during the exhibit, Oct. 12 and 19, "Artists Creating Art" will be a special feature with several of the Art for All members actively involved in the process of working in their chosen medium inside the gallery area. This will be of special interest to individuals of all ages who either enjoy creating art themselves or who have an appreciation for art and are interested in the process.

The exhibit will be on display from Sunday, Oct. 12, through Saturday, Oct. 25. Exhibit hours are: 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.

Art for All is a 501(c)(3) organization that encourages the creation and appreciation of visual art in Elgin and in the Fox Valley area. It is a community-minded group with a wide diversity of talent from every imaginable artistic medium. College scholarships are awarded annually to deserving students majoring in an art-related field and the organization works in collaboration with the city of Elgin the first weekend of August each year to present the Art & Soul on the Fox fine art fair.
