Selfless support from Libertyville boys cross country program

Over the past 10 years, the Libertyville boys cross country team has donated more than $20,000 to charities.

Coached by Mark Buesing, Matt Condron, Mike Cook, Ben Zollo, Stu Mendelsohn, and Megan Janezic, the Wildcats didn't miss a beat this a fall with their generosity, totaling $2,000 of conributions.

They donated $1,000 to Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. This is the largest organization for new veterans and their families, with nearly 300,000 members and supporters. They are all dedicated to standing with veterans from their first day home through the rest of their lives.

The team also donated $1,000 to Oasis for Orphans which rescues orphaned and vulnerable children in Kenya to develop them physically, spiritually, economically and socially.

It enables these children to one day be contributing members of their community and future leaders in their country.

This year, the team sold T-shirts through booster.com.
