Barrington-based Citizens for Conservation will host a Festival of the Oaks from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 11, at Lake Barrington village hall, at the intersection of Kelsey Road and Old Barrington Road.

The organization will lead participants in rounding up acorns and encouraging the planting of more native trees.
