The Chicago Bears faced the Carolina Panthers Sunday at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte.

The Panthers defeated the Bears 31-24.

The momentum seemed to change in the game at the end of the second quarter when the Bears kicker Robbie Gould missed a 35-yard field goal and the Panthers went on to score a touchdown in the last minute of the half.

The Panthers overcame a 14-point deficit with quarterback Cam Newton throwing two touchdown passes to former Bears tight end Greg Olsen while their defense forced four turnovers, two in the fourth quarter.

Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was 28 of 36 for 289 yards with two touchdowns, one rushing, but had three turnovers.

Running Back Matt Forte had a combined rushing and receiving total of 166 yards but gave up a costly fumble late in the fourth.
