The Woodlands Academy of the Sacred Heart Mothers Club's annual luncheon held recently at the school featured the commissioning of this year's club officers and major event chairs, a tradition begun last year.

• Winter Wonderwalk - Sara Carmody, Lake Bluff (Boutique co-chair)

• Conge' co-chair - Mary Oelerich

• Conge' co-chair - Alison Kohlmeyer

"We are grateful for your dedication and readiness to accept the responsibilities that each of these roles bring, and your willingness to model for others the spirit of our tradition of educating young women to be leaders and agents of transformation in the global community," Principal Madonna Lee Edmunds said.

All mothers of Woodlands Academy students are members of the Mothers Club, which works together with the Fathers Club on several events each school year. During an appearance at the Mothers Club luncheon, Fathers Club President Stephen Wenc said he sees the tradition of cooperation between the two groups as the foundation on which to build new ways of helping each other's efforts on behalf of Woodlands Academy. Each club meets separately and recruits parents to help with fundraising efforts as well as other events held just for fun.
