Missing Arlington Heights girl found safe
An 11-year-old Arlington Heights girl reported missing at 12:15 p.m. Thursday has been found safe and uninjured, authorities said.
Police sent out an alert about the missing girl late Thursday night, and she was found early Friday.
An alert citizen saw the girl in the area of 1200 E. Northwest Hwy. at approximately 8:30 a.m. today and contacted police, according to a news release. The girl was uninjured and the preliminary investigation indicates that she ran away. police said.
