Night life: Craft beers come to Morton Arboretum

Craft beer fest

The Morton Arboretum hosts Drink It In: Craft Beer Festival from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, featuring 80-plus unique craft beers from dozens of breweries. Each admission ticket gets up to 15 craft brew samples of 3-ounce pours with additional beer samples available for $1 each. Bring a blanket and enjoy entertainment by 28 Days and According to Sarah. A few participating breweries are: 51st Ward Beer Company; Boulevard Brewing Co., Dogfish Head Brewery, Empirical Brewery, Flesk Brewing, Local Option, Pollyanna Brewing, SlapShot Brewing Company and Transient Artisan Ales. $35 arboretum members, $45 nonmembers and $15 designated driver tickets.

Dueling pianos

Dual pianos duel at America's Bar's dueling pianos starting at 8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4. Daily drink specials include $2.50 Bud Light bottles and $5 frozen drinks. Thursday through Sunday, try a $10 Big Long Island iced tea. Revolution Oktoberfest craft brews are now on tap.

Bears specials

Thirst no more on Bears game Sundays. The Thirsty Whale offers $10 personal pitchers with $5 refills, $4 select shot specials and $10 large cheese pizzas. Daily specials at The Thirsty Whale include $3 domestic pints and bottles, $4 mai tais and $6 16-ounce Long Islands.
