Is there a particular issue that motivates you? If so, what?I've been convinced to run again by many people who trust me,who need to have their business interests represented fairly, their quality of McHenry Co.life kept in high regard and someone that brings an historic and common sense attitude to the table -- representing no private or special interests.Describe your position regarding the balance between county spending and revenues as it exists today, then describe the chief threats you see looming in the future and how the county should deal with them.The County has a AAA bond rating and that's not by accident -- Very Vary rare. I'd like to take a bus load of McHenry Co. Board members down to Springfield and show them how its done! The biggest looming threats to McHenry Co. are the failures in Springfield. VOTEIf you are an incumbent, describe your main contributions. Tell us of any important initiatives you've led. If you are a challenger, what would you bring to the board and what would your priority be?I think like I'm not an incumbent -- always challenges. Voting to maintain the wonderful post WWII way of life here in McHenry Co. while trying to handeling the results of a housing and business boom and bust,has been my contribution.How do you rate the county government on transparency and the public's access to records? If you consider it adequate, please explain why. If you think improvements are needed, please describe them and why they are important.Over all, McHenry Co. has a good "transparency" record but really could do better in regards to Internal audits. External audits are public, why not Internal audits? All public money use should be audited and should have public eyes . No excuses !Name one concrete program you'll create or personnel move you'll make to improve efficiency in the office or make it more successful. Explain how it will be funded and how you will overcome any obstacles to initiating it.I would like to see a satalite traffic court set up in Crystal Lake in the unused Mental Health building space. I would also like to see a creative use of the remaining acrage of the Valley Hi property --not just growing corn.What other issues, if any, are important to you as a candidate for this office?Lowering taxes !! Lets consolidate our Township Road Districts with the McHenry Co.Road Districts. Lots of efficiencies and big money savings can be realized immediately. It's time folks !! Also, lets video/audio livestream County Board meetings and Township meetings like so many municipalities already do.
