Tax cuts were irresponsible

Sam Yingling the "Tax-Cutter" yard signs are popping up all over the 62nd District. Everyone can buy into a tax-cut message. Yet I wonder if they would buy into that same message if they knew the outcome of those tax cuts?

For the record, the tax cuts implemented while Yingling was Avon Township Supervisor were not sustainable. Were they made for the short-term goal of crafting a message, a name and a motto for higher office?

As a result of those tax cut, some Avon Township employees loss their health and dental insurance this summer and just this week four people were laid off and an entire assessor division was closed.

Many can argue why the assessor division was closed, but had it not been for the 22 percent cut to operating expenses, the livelihood of four employees and their families would not have been disrupted.

Responsible tax cut are not made on the backs of the working class.
