President Obama headed home to Chicago this week

President Barack Obama is headed home to Chicago to speak at Northwestern University and stump for Democratic Gov. Pat Quinn.

The White House said Tuesday that Obama would travel to Chicago on Wednesday and stay the night. On Thursday the president is to attend a Quinn campaign event and speak at Northwestern's Evanston campus before returning to Washington.

Quinn is in the middle of a tight re-election bid with first-time Republican candidate and businessman Bruce Rauner.
