NCH Offers Free Programs for Seniors in October

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (September 26, 2014) - Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting several free programs for adults over age 55 in October at the Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights. To register for the following programs, call 847-253-5532. You do not need to be an Arlington Heights resident to attend.

• Thursday, October 2 - Relaxation methods and ways to reduce stress - 11 a.m. to noon

• Thursday, October 2 - Wound treatment for the active senior - noon to 1 p.m.

• Tuesday, October 7 - Staying healthy during the winter months - 11 a.m. to noon

• Wednesday, October 8 - Healthy cooking demonstration - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, October 9 - Benefits of water exercise - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Friday, October 10 - Medicare and diabetes 101 - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, October 16 - Understanding food labels - 11 a.m. to noon

• Thursday, October 16 - Allergies as we age - noon to 1 p.m.

• Monday, October 20 - Posture 101 - 10 to 11 a.m.

• Monday, October 20 - Ask the physical therapist - 11 a.m. to noon

• Tuesday, October 21 - The older you get, the more you need a mammogram - 11 a.m. to noon

• Wednesday, October 22 - Healthy eating seminar - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, October 23 - Ask the personal trainer - 9 to 10 a.m.

• Thursday, October 23 - Mysteries of human behavior - 10 to 11:30 a.m.

• Monday, October 27 - How to make better food choices - 1 to 2 p.m.
