Christian McCusker scored unassisted to give Hampshire the lead early but could not score again. Harvest Christian keeper Noah Fox made 13 saves to preserve the tie while his counterpart Andy Pederson finished with 3 saves.

It was more of the same for the Lions (7-1-3) in their second match, with White scoring on a D'Argento pass 10 minutes in. Fox would allow 1 goal on his way to 8 saves against the Raiders. The Lions will face Rockford Auburn in the third place match next Saturday

South Elgin sweeps at Hampshire: A nail-bitting finish along with stellar underclass play has the Storm in line to challenge host Hampshire next week for the title thanks to a 5-4 win over Woodstock North and a 3-1 victory over Rockford Auburn. Luke Bohlin scored twice and Sergio Pedroza scored once in the first half, with assists by Issac Perez, Kristoph Mikhail and Joseph Boghossain, but the Storm still only had a 3-2 lead going into the second half against Woodstock North and needed to pull away. Alex Rivera and Perez obliged for two goals in the second half to put the Storm on top for good. Down to a handful of starters for the second match due to homecoming, the Storm (5-4-2) still managed to eke out a win over Rockford Auburn. Perez started the scoring off, followed by Brain Dykstra, a freshman goalkeeper playing forward, netting a goal as well. Sophomore Santiago Acuna would finish the scoring in the second on an assist by Diego Fuentes. Garcia manned the goal for the entire game and finished with 4 saves.
