Live music for the event will be provided by local Geneva band North of Center. There will be outdoor games for both kids and adults and participants are encouraged to attend and run in costume. They will be judged in our Best Costume Contest. There will also be contests for the school with the most runners and the alumni class with the most runners. There will also be pumpkins and mums on sale the day of the event.

Laura Zuzuly, GAF chairwoman said, "GAF is excited to host our first GAF Mighty Vike Homecoming Hustle Fun Run. It is meant to be a community event and we hope that students, parents, families, teachers, alumni and community members will all participate as runners or walkers. We would like this to become an annual part of the Homecoming weekend festivities. There will be coffee and delicious breakfast food available and tours of the high school can be arranged for alumni groups as well."

The foundation and its endowment fund are vital partners with the Geneva school district. More than $1.1 million in grants have been funded since the inception of the foundation. The fund will help the foundation continue to support, in perpetuity, our students and schools by purchasing items that are not supported by tax dollars and enhance the overall educational experience of Geneva students.

The Geneva Academic Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization.

Every donation to the endowment fund over $300 results in being honored with a corresponding emblem on the Viking Voyage to Excellence Ship. To see a complete list of contributors, and their respective donations, visit gafgeneva.org.

The nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization was formed in 1987 by a group of parents to fund grants to teachers, schools or organizations. The grants must enhance the educational experience of students in the Geneva Unit District 304. In addition, it awards two $1,000 college scholarships to Geneva High School seniors.
