Schaumburg Township Offers Low-Cost Rabies Vaccine

Schaumburg Township Clerk Timothy M. Heneghan, Highway Commissioner Scott M. Kegarise, and Cook County Commissioner (15th District) Timothy O. Schneider, will partner with the Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control and Board of Cook County Commissioners President Toni Preckwinkle on October 15, 2013 to provide low-cost rabies vaccines and microchips for dogs, cats, and ferrets for Cook County residents.

The low cost fee for a 1-year rabies vaccine is $7, 3-year rabies vaccine is $21 and microchip identification is $10. Payment must be made in cash or check. Credit and debit cards will be not be accepted.

This event will be held in the Schaumburg Township Highway Department Garage on the south end of the parking lot located at 1 Illinois Blvd. Hoffman Estates, IL from 10:00 AM to 2:45 PM.

Mobile clinic services will be offered on a first come, first serve bases. No appointment necessary. Pet owners must present a valid Driver's License or State ID. For public safety all pets must be leashed or caged at all times.
