You can enjoy the exhibits at the Lake County Discovery Museum near Wauconda for free on Saturday, Sept. 27, thanks to a national promotion. Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted by Smithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors for free to anyone presenting a special ticket. The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people for one day only. Go to smithsonian.com/museumdaylive to get your free ticket. The Discovery Museum is in the Lakewood Forest Preserve, on Route 176 west of Fairfield Road.
