Night life events: West Dundee's Bikini Bottom goes black light
Bikini Bottom's color fest
Black lights will create a special look Friday through Sunday at West Dundee's Bikini Bottom Grill - and the bar is urging patrons to wear white. Daily drink specials include $4 Jager, $5 Jager bombs and $5 Patron. Friday features $5 tropical fires and $3 Coronas. Saturday specials are $5 tequila sunrise and $3 Heineken and Heineken Light. Sunday specials are $5 Bahama Mamas and $6 pitchers.

Broken Earth opens
Broken Earth Winery opens this weekend in the Mill Pond Shops in Long Grove just in time for the town's annual Apple Fest. Owned by the Forsythe family, the winery will sell wines made from the Forsythe's Paso Robles, California, winery. Broken Earth will host wine tastings and offer wine club memberships, video gaming and full-service dining - including appetizers, burgers and small plates, as well as beer and other beverages.
Broken Earth Winery in the Mill Pond Shops is at 2919 Robert Parker Coffin Road, Long Grove.
Ale's well at Manny's
Manny's Ale House recently opened under the father and son team of Dimitri Papadatos and son Manny. Formerly Elmhurst Public House, Manny's opened in early September offering pub fare and a full service bar with 20 craft beers on tap. The kitchen stays open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. everyday, while the bar is open from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Manny's banquet room holds up to 50 people.
