Round Lake Beach police respond to injured woman

Round Lake Beach police responded to a 911 call Tuesday of a woman who was injured by an unknown person, officials said.
Officers responded to the 1500 block of Woodridge around 4:50 p.m. Preliminary reports that the subject may have been shot proved to be incorrect.
"Officers conducted a check of the neighborhood and found no reason for the neighbors to be concerned for their safety," according to a news release.
The victim was taken to the hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.
