Bookmark contest at Vernon Area Library

The Vernon Area Public Library in Lincolnshire is holding a bookmark contest for kindergartners through eighth-graders. Starting Oct. 1, kids can create bookmarks with the theme "Cool Reads." A practice sheet will be available to make drafts of designs, and entry forms will be available in the youth services department. Entries must be submitted by Oct. 30. All bookmarks will be displayed on the library's website, vapld.info, and on digital frames throughout the library. Three winners will be selected from each grade. Winners will have their entry printed for distribution at the library, and they will receive five copies for their own use.
