Naperville Art League's Riverwalk fair continues Sunday

Artwork dressed up the crown jewel of Naperville when a juried art fair returned to the Riverwalk Saturday.

About 130 artists from across the country brought along their creative pieces for the Naperville Art League's 29th annual Riverwalk Fine Art Fair.

"The city just takes on a whole different feel," league Executive Director Debbie Venezia said ahead of the show. "It's an escape. It's like going to this wonderful art retreat weekend."

The DuPage Symphony Orchestra and Classical Oasis added a soundtrack to the east and west sides of the fair.

Against that peaceful setting, art aficionados could shop for sculptures, paintings and other media.

The free fair continues 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Jackson Avenue and the Naperville Riverwalk between Main and Eagle streets.
